EUS - Win10 Deployment and ELS Support SME

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services requires EUS - Win10 Deployment and ELS Support SME to be based in their client's offices in Midlands (Solihull, Gaydon, CB, Whitley, Fen end, Coventry etc).

This is a 5-month temporary contract to start on 01st Nov 2021.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring Services successfully complete Win7 to Win10 device exchange for a set of users normally linked to a specific site location for Desktop and Laptops including manufacturing trackside and shop floor devices at user locations
  • Manage users to meet scheduled appointments for device collection and provide Vendor with the site access they need to prepare and complete exchange of replacement devices.
  • Support vendor by ensuring old equipment is returned and collected against client policies.
  • Windows 10 Early Life Support
  • System technical documentation for existing and new builds
  • Builds and configuration of new Win10 machines
  • Support incidents and requests for Win10 issues
  • Managing Win 10 operating System and associated end user infrastructure (desktop/laptop) support
  • Support Monitor and docking station refresh
  • Enforcing COVID19 health and safety measures
  • Weekend and Night shift support for Trackside and shop floor deployments as per business requirements

Key Requirements

  • 5 + years of relevant experience.
  • Working experience of End User IT Landscape (desktops/laptops/printers, etc.) preferably in Production device swap-out
  • In Depth and proven experience of Client Operating systems like Windows 7 and Windows10
  • Knowledge of Client Level Networking/TCP Troubleshooting (DHCP, DNS, 802.11x), VPN
  • Good to have experience in supporting migration to Windows 10 Operating System
  • Robust working knowledge of O365, collaboration tools & desktop VDI
  • Excellent Working Knowledge of solution tools like AD and SCCM
  • Good knowledge on docking stations usage
  • Good Hardware knowledge of Dell machines including desktops, laptops, and workstations, Including Troubleshooting, Diagnosing, servicing or replacing parts.
  • HP Network printers and managed print Servers, HP JetAdmin.
  • Strong communication and documentation Skills
  • Client facing skills.
  • Good team players and people person.
  • Ability to self-motivate against agreed objectives
  • Ability to assess user device collection plan and where required progress end user communications to ensure commitment to schedule
  • Ability to manage meeting facilities and escorting Vendor engineers to the collection points as required.
