Description
Day Rate: Up to around £30 per hour (inside IR35) - £330 day rate
Duration: 5-month contract (with possibility of extension)
Location: Southampton (with elements of hybrid working)
Our client are looking for Platform Controllers that will be part of a team providing 1st line platform support.
The role:
- Hours: 24x7 shift-based pattern
- Delivering incident support, including 1st line support of platforms
- Use of monitoring tools to diagnose impact and prioritise incidents in a quick accurate manner
- Completing checks and keeping records of incidents and their status
- Escalating issues to effectively manage and prioritise incident
- Assist in detecting trends
- Providing operational support for new developments
Experience needed:
- Experience in a 1st line or operational support role
Nice to have:
- ITIL foundation certification
- Experience working in media or broadcast type environments
- Experience of broadcast platform systems and workflows
- Microsoft or Linux/Unix experience
- Networking knowledge
