HPC Engineer - Remote - Inside IR35 - Rate £525p/day
High-Performance Computing Engineer
Overview: Engineering of High Performance Computing (HPC) Cluster for large-scale compute-intensive or data-intensive workloads, and which includes: a parallel file-system (Weka.io, Lustre, Spectrum Scale), a high-throughput low-latency network (Infiniband, Omni-Path, Mellanox ConnectX), and uses LSF as the workload management scheduler.
Required Skills:
- Experience and supporting high performance clusters (LSF Scheduler)
- HPC cluster experience (setup, use, configuration and maintenance)
- Good skill on IBM Spectrum Products
- Experience cloud computing (AWS)
- Strong skill of networking concepts
- Experience in Application Integration
- MPI programming and understanding
- Shell Scripting - bash, Perl or python or any combination
- Experience and Strong Linux administration skills and Cluster Management
- Automation/configuration management experience (ansible)
- Experience architecting and supporting InfiniBand networks
- Experience running parallel jobs with OpenMP or MPI
- Experience of GPU computation and CUDA
- Experience supporting LDAP/AC, NFS, Samba, Web Servers
- Experience distributed system Knowledge of on-premise infrastructure, virtualisation
