Azure SME/Azure Engineer - 5 months + £700 - £750 per day - SC Cleared project
Location is Reading or Leatherhead and 50% remote working.
The role is for a senior Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, to migrate a Healthcare solution - a COTS product which has been customised with bespoke code and database schemas, provided by our client to the Azure cloud platform
This work includes:
- Building and configuring Windows Servers and Virtual Machines (scripted solutions) on the Azure Cloud host platforms
- Development of, and Use of Terraform, DSC and bespoke scripts for deployment of infrastructure resources and applications on Azure platform
- Installing and configuring project applications (developing and using scripted installs)
- Maintaining deployment environments and supporting changes to the LIVE system required to enable the migration to Azure Cloud platform.
- Producing documentation as required
Essential Skills:
- Azure Cloud Migration
- Scripting (preferably powershell)
Highly desirable skills:
- Server build and maintenance (Windows)
- Virtualisation (Preferably Hyper-V)
- Azure Services/Resource infrastructure support
- Experience with Terraform/Terragrunt or other Infrastructure Deployment software
- SQL (Preferably SQL Server)
Desirable skills
- General platform knowledge (SAN's, McAfee, Netbackup, WSUS, etc)
The work will be as part of a development team based in a hybrid pattern across the Leatherhead and Reading offices. (Currently expected to be 50% time in office, 50% working from home with exceptions requiring Full time work in office for periods where tasks can only be deployed from office based Live Rms or for co-located planning sessions)
The project operates regular 'rota based' outages, which a candidate would be part of for the role. The outages take place outside normal working hours with overtime payable.
Candidates need to have SC Level Security Clearance
