AWS DevOps Engineer - Cloud, Linux, Virtualisation
Manchester/Remote - £350-£400 p/d
DevOps Engineer with knowledge of cloud hosted virtual platforms (AWS mainly) and extensive Linux experience is sought by a leading financial services business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a DevOps Engineer looking to make their mark on some exciting and highly regarded projects. The company are passionate about being at the forefront of technology and so you will be invited to make suggestions on the implementation of tech and new ways of working.
The successful DevOps Engineer will have experience and knowledge of the following:
- Ability to work with autonomy, along with planning and prioritising work based on business requirements.
- Expertise with using Linux and experience working in a systems administrator, site reliability or other associated position.
- Background within an AWS cloud computing environment
- Virtualisation experience (KVM/open stack/VMWare)
- Strong programming skills, writing clear and concise code in Python or Bash.
- Experience of one or more automation frameworks such as Ansible, Salt Stack or Nornir.
- Experience of using Git for revision control in a collaborative environment.
- You are a logical thinker; you have good problem-solving abilities and can think of different solutions to intransigent problems
- You have experience of implementation of Git-based CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, GitHub, or Jenkins
