Description
Global IT Solutions Company requires an Infrastructure Engineer for their client based in Wimborne with some remote working. You will have solid SCCM Packaging and experience of reviewing Java vulnerabilities.
Infrastructure Engineer/SCCM Packaging
Location: Wimborne with some remote working
Contract Length: 3 months
Day Rate: Negotiable Day Rate - Inside IR35
Activities that require completion:
Updating 16 Servers to the latest patches - timing to be arranged outside of core hours, back out plans required, change approval required for each patch.
Review Java vulnerabilities on clients and Servers, research compatibility and then upgrade Java to latest supported/tested version.
Generate SCCM package/installation instructions to upgrade (up to) 15 engineering client applications (SCCM package built by another team), requires checking vendor install instructions, and previous SCCM instructions and running a number of test installations.
Work with Cradle team on upgrade plan for Cradle server and clients. There are experienced people in business team who are retiring. Knowledge to be captured and documented during upgrade.
Manual installation of products that cannot be packaged in SCCM using SCCM remote control tools.
Identify any missing documentation and update during the course of activities. Check and update existing DR documentation.

Manual Installs (fully documented)
- Allchange (required on 3-4 PCs) IT desktop usually have issues
The activities require both the IT activity, required documentation and adherence to IT policies and procedures.
