Description
My client, a well known organisation based in West Yorkshire are looking to hire a number of Storage Engineers/Storage Analysts/Technical Support Engineer - Storage, SAN, NAS Backup 2nd and 3rd Line Server Support.
The contract will be a minimum of 3 months with a strong possibility of extension. This will be a remote working role but this may change in the New Year with a possible of 2 days a week working in the Leeds and Bradford office.
The ideal candidates will have:
Key Skills:
- Proven experience of providing 2nd and 3rd line BAU support within a medium or large enterprise environment.
- Fault diagnosis, maintenance, and supporting of a number of the following:
Storage Technologies
- Network Attached Storage (NAS)
- Storage Area Networks SAN
- Fibre Channel Networks
- Block Storage
- File Storage
- Object Storage
- Snapshot Technologies.
Backup Technologies
- Client and server architectures and solutions, Virtual Tape Libraries)
- Knowledge of Storage Technology Tooling such as:
- IBM Spectrum Protect
- Spectrum Protect Plus
- Tivoli storage manager (TSM)
- Backup growth requirements in line with operational need)
Desirable:
- Experience of administration of infrastructure services within a complex and varied environment. (Windows and VMware)
