We have an exciting opportunity for a DevOps Coach to join this global Energy company. This is an exciting time to be joining this world-leading company as they transform themselves from a traditional Oil & Gas company into a leading name within the Renewables sector. This includes the creation of an already highly successful new Power Trading desk within the Energy Trading team as well as new ventures into various innovative solutions around the supply of Renewables including wind farms, electric vehicle charging, solar panel heating and battery storage. These innovative solutions provide opportunities for exceptionally highly talented individuals to contribute to the success of this transition where you will be working with some of the best people in the industry working on new and ground-breaking initiatives utilising the very latest technology.

About The Role:

As a DevOps Coach/Specialist, you will focus on supporting product development across the portfolio, working closely with a PMO Lead, a Power IT Product, Project Managers and Portfolio Managers on behalf of the Programme Manager.

You will be responsible for developing portfolio planning across product teams and mapping dependencies from Azure Devops planning boards. You will also be accountable for building queries to support the teams in managing metrics and analysis to demonstrate value creation by product teams and presenting back project plans and dependency mappings. The role would suit an experienced DevOps Coach/Specialist, who is used to dealing with significant numbers of related activities in a business domain and with the credibility to gain the trust of senior stakeholders quickly.

Your Background Needs To Include:
Supporting Product and Development Teams to deliver value
Guiding and Coaching a Scrum Team and an organisation on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values
Helping to refine and groom the Product Backlog with the Product Team
Assessing the agile maturity of the team and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organisation
Removing impediments (people, process or tools) that hinders agility within the team
Assisting with internal and external communication, and improving transparency leveraging visual dashboarding to keep information up to date
Managing stakeholders outside the team as required
Model Agile behavior & mindset and able to coach leaders and managers in empowerment and servant leadership-based management of teams and team-members
Use a variety of Agile facilitation, mentoring, coaching, and teaching techniques in individual and team settings to help introduce/improve on Agile mindset, practices, and tools
Lead the development of a culture where development team and operations work together for continuous delivery of value using DevOps principles and practices
Conducting team agility assessments effectively to evaluate and drive potential improvement areas in the Agile teams
Able to apply systems thinking to measure, analyze, and remove impediments across the delivery value stream
Actively scans the external environment to stay abreast of, and create internal awareness of new trends in Agile frameworks, concepts, and capabilities

You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner, with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
