My client, an international charity, are currently recruiting an Interim Systems Administrator to support the operation of the existing infrastructure. There will also be the chance to assist with the development and modernisation of the end user infrastructure and continued Cloud adoption.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage the development, enhancement, implementation and day-today operations of the systems particularly Microsoft 365 based email and including Windows desktop, Active Directory, file and print Servers
  • Daily system monitoring to verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, review system and application logs, and verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
  • Responsible for managing 3rd line support and escalation to vendors and resolution of major issues in a timely and efficient fashion
  • Development, implementation and maintenance of permissions structure within Active Directory and Microsoft 365
  • Responsible for disaster recovery, business continuity and backup of email and related systems

Skills and experience required:

  • Good knowledge of the following: Microsoft Server ) Windows Active Directory Domain Services
  • Comprehensive understanding of underlying infrastructure required to support end-user devices, such as Active Directory Group Policy administration and desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10/11)
  • Experience and knowledge administering public cloud services, specifically infrastructure as a service (IaaS) and platform as a service (PaaS) components specifically Microsoft Azure
  • Experience of administering Mobile Device Management solutions, ideally Microsoft Endpoint Manager
  • Experience of administering Microsoft 365 services
