Our client is seeking an FPGA Engineer to join their team. The role is based in Malvern.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement. The rates above represent rate payable to the umbrella co.

The Role - Hiring Manager Summary

We are currently looking for an FPGA professional who is looking for a challenging and rewarding career opportunity. The successful FPGA Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing of navigation, cryptographic or DSP devices. Working as part of a high calibre Software/RF System On Chip team, you will be involved in all phases of projects and additional engineering tasks working with other engineers in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver products and customer solutions

Our FPGA Engineers implement complex system algorithms and interface in Model Based Environments. We are seeking an engineer who understands the implications of using model-based design within this framework. You will be working on a variety of high-tech, interesting projects, given autonomy to make your own decisions and manage your workload effectively.

Key Accountabilities

  • You will be responsible to Project Design Authority for all firmware related activities
  • Specify and Develop FPGA/ASIC solutions
  • You will plan work effectively, including breaking down problems into manageable work packages
  • You will have the ability to accurately cost work and manage risk
  • You will be producing written documentation of technical work in accordance with Project requirements

Experience and Qualifications

  • Ability to write and debug VHDL or Verilog
  • Experience with simulation or synthesis tools eg ModelSim, Synplify, Vivado, Quartus etc.
  • Experience of design and implementation of high-speed Digital Processing Solutions and systems in FPGA
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or similar

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 - General visas are cannot be accepted.
