Description

I am currently working with a business in the music industry that are looking for an interim Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 3 month period. This is a small company which will require you to be versatile in your approach. Previous experience of working for a small business is desirable but not essential.

Overview

The IT Help Desk and Infrastructure Team is a small team responsible for supporting and maintaining the company's IT systems and for providing desktop support to all business users. This will range from simple user requests and issues to troubleshooting networking, server and security related issues.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the support and maintenance of IT services within the UK, Germany and the United States adhering to standards and processes of the global organisational design.
  • Senior technical support responsible for the evaluation, implementation and support of new and existing technologies.
  • Supporting end users with day-to-day IT requests or issues.
  • Providing support and cover to the rest of the global team when required.
  • Implementation, administration, support and maintenance of the Microsoft, VMware & SAN and HyberV environments.
  • Manage and maintain backups using Veeam backing up locally and to cloud.
  • Managing infrastructure change, from cabling to subnet masks, to vendor liaison: technology includes Cisco Switches, Cisco Routers, checkpoint Firewalls, SD WAN from Silverpeak.
  • Supporting network infrastructure and ensuring agreed service levels are maintained.
  • Maintaining and developing cloud services in Azure and AWS.
  • Support and maintenance of a RingCentral/Teams based telephony system.
  • Working with third party vendors, ensuring they are delivering to agreed service levels
  • Build, maintain, support and asset management of Laptop PCs and Servers using Windows and occasionally Linux and Mac OS.
  • Support and maintain CCTV and Office Door Access system.
  • Maintain a detailed and diverse knowledge of all information technologies available.
  • To recommend and implement improvements to current and future infrastructure.
