Senior Systems Integration & Test Engineer - 6 Month Initial Contract - Outside IR35 - Hybrid Working Offered
Senior System Integration and Test Engineer required to support design certification, assurance and acceptance for the System.
Typical activities will include:
- Support the development of appropriate integration and test plans
- Support detailed planning to successfully schedule and execute integration and test activity
- Identify, define, and write tests, detailed procedures and scripts with reference to system specification, design and use cases
- Execute defined test activities including performance, characterisation and investigative tests.
- Capture and manage test results and associated data, including additional formalities that may be required for verification and qualification.
- Support the production of defect and test reports including associated analysis and test conclusions.
- Support status reporting of integration and test activities.
- Support build and test automation activities as well as the continuous improvement of integration and testing processes, procedures and tools
The successful candidate will have the below skills/experience:
- Broad competence in System Integration, test and acceptance - Significant experience and depth of understanding across the discipline, practicing as a SI&T engineer on a complex development program.
- Ability to perform technical analysis, calculations, extrapolations and research pertinent to system performance, behaviour and expected outcomes and be able to incorporate and present these as part of engineering test reports and results.
- Understanding of tactical network infrastructures including networks, radios, Routers, Switches and system management consideration
- Experience in build and test automation
- Microsoft Windows Platform experience with good understanding of Windows architecture, services, security features, and virtualization
- Experienced in the use of one or more the following engineering tools or equivalents: IBM DOORS, Rational Quality Manager, Rational Team Concert, and proficient use of Microsoft Office tools
