Location - London or Ipswich 1 day per week/4 days remotely from home
Duration - 4 months
Rate - £560pd (inside ir35)
My client is looking for a Network Test & Automation Engineer, someone to test and validate the Cisco and Juniper network platforms that make up our bespoke end to end solutions. This will include: regression testing of new code releases, new hardware. While using standard network components - these are integrated in a way that meets the unique needs of our customers to get their broadcast quality video from source to destination.
Responsibilities:
*Design, test and deliver network solutions in the Media and Broadcast areas; specifically in the design of layer 1, 2, 3 connectivity.
*Ongoing & frequent collaboration with a wider team including operations, systems and customers.
*Actively adopting of Agile methodologies
*Automation of repeatable tasks.
*Buillding a reusable and expandable sutomation framework.
Skills:
*Hands-on experience of testing Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment or equivalent.
*Ideally you will be from a Service Provider or Fin-Tec background
*Strong track record of building and completing test strategies, test plans and test cases in a networking environment.
*A track record of building an automation capability and driving efficiencies of speed and cost in carrying out repeatable tasks.
*Solid knowledge of IP, MPLS & Multicast technologies.
*An understanding of working within a design lab to develop and test solutions using test traffic generators.
*You will have some experience of supporting the build of end to end Network Designs and solutions - being able to understand existing network designs and customer solutions
