Description
Our client needs an experienced GCP Engineer to:
- Lead onsite technical resources to migrate existing infrastructure to the cloud
- This is using best practices (Automated Package Delivery, Billing Alerts, Monitoring Alerts)
- Document the migration so this can be transitioned to the IT team
- Provide knowledge transfer to the onsite team on migration techniques
- Strong GCP background - Certifications preferred
- GCP tools and Services (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Google Migration Service, etc)
- User and Service account management using IAM
- VPC subnetting and Shared VPC
- High availability VPN connectivity
Experience:
- Good working knowledge Google Workspace groups for GCP role management
- 3 + years' experience building, designing or supporting Google cloud-based infrastructure and strong knowledge of on-premise based solutions
- Experience in gathering technical requirements and assessing an organisation's cloud readiness
- Advanced level knowledge of Public/Hybrid/Private cloud solutions
- Experience of connectivity solutions from on-premises to public cloud solutions
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Understanding and experience of software development tools/methodologies and DevOps practices (eg CI/CD pipelines)
- Experience with security architecture frameworks and best practices
- Experience of stakeholder management within a multitude of organisations
- Experienced with windows Scripting languages (eg. Powershell)
- Experience with version controls tools SVN and GIT
- Experienced with Linux Scripting languages such as bash, and Python
