Contract: 3 months

Location: Newcastle city centre

Status: Inside IR35 (candidates must use an umbrella company)

A large Managed IT Service Provider has a 3 month requirement for an enthusiastic IT Support Engineer to be based on site with their end client in Newcastle city centre.

This is an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Engineer with excellent communication skills who has excellent skills supporting Microsoft Windows and Office, Active Directory, PC's and Laptops.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide onsite IT Support for colleagues covering all end user devices
  • Microsoft Windows and Office and bespoke system support
  • Desktop building, installing and troubleshooting
  • Installing, upgrading, repairing and deploying core hardware and software including desktops, laptops, zero clients and peripherals
  • Telephony endpoint support
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate office moves
  • Ensure calls are dealt with in a timely manner and in adherence to SLA's

To be considered you will need:

  • Proven experience providing desktop support in a similar role
  • Skilled with software, hardware, Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to provide excellent customer service
  • ITIL awareness or certification
  • Able to work within SLAs
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
