Description

One of my clients based in Bristol is looking for a SC cleared Solutions Architect to join them on a 6 month contract. The role is Outside IR35, can pay up to £550 a day and the client is looking for the successful candidate to be on site 2 days a week.
Active SC clearance is essential for this position!

How your experience will be utilised

  • Expertly establishing MoD client requirements
  • Providing specialist advice on development and delivery of solutions and capability increments against the architecture roadmap
  • Producing high quality network, cryptography and security architecture and high/low level design documentation
  • Completing fit-for-purpose testing and reviewing
  • Managing risks, issues and opportunities to delivery and deployment
  • Ensuring thorough record-keeping

We're expecting that you've done this role before, so you'll know how to do it whilst spinning multiple plates:

  • Extensive technical architecture design for complex security, system and network services.
  • Excellent understanding of security, system and network technologies.
  • Architecting for large scale, high capacity and high availability services.
  • Working with clients to understand user needs and make recommendations to meet business challenges and opportunities.
  • Working with industry partners and suppliers to translate complex business requirements into high/low level designs.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write high quality architecture documentation from scratch.
  • Ability to challenge conventional practices.
  • Working in large programmes using a mixture of agile and waterfall methodologies to deliver complex solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to quickly develop strong working relationships in high-pressure environments.
  • Using enterprise architecture tools such as MooD, Sparx EA or Archimate to support business and IT stakeholders with strategically driven planning, analysis, design and execution.

  • Due to the nature of the projects you'll be working on, you must be a UK National, and be willing to undergo and maintain appropriate UK government Security Clearance
