Description

Working inside of IR35 for a company specialising in power generation, infrastructure, and energy systems, you will be involved in both the support of existing company systems and the development of new ones. Aiding in the administration of software and hardware, setup and integration of technologies and advising various departments on general technology related items.

  • This position will also serve as a general Technical Support Specialist for all applications along with supporting site during high call volume periods.
  • As this role will be primarily as first line support helpdesk, Junior Analysts are welcome to apply.

Key accountabilities
Include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide technical (helpdesk) support to system users
  • Assist with master data daily functions and project works
  • Keep up to date with new and changing technologies (internal and external)
  • Advise and help implement new technology
  • Provide troubleshooting solutions for computer or operating systems that affect delivery
  • Provide technical support to projects and contractors as requested
  • Analyse complex computer systems, identify problems, and develop and implement logical conclusions and effective solutions.
  • Support demands and service requests according to IT governance strategies, regulations and in accordance with Cyber and Information security policies.

Experience Required

  • IT Support/1st line/Desktop support experience
  • Installation, operating, maintenance and repair of operating systems, networks, and programmes
  • Data analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of ERP/SQL query data process
  • MS Power platform (PowerApps and BI)
  • MS 365
  • Windows Operating Systems and controls

This role does require shift work (Monday to Friday) under a fortnightly rotation.
Working early shifts (06:00 - 14:00 - early finish on a Friday 12:30) for a fortnight then swapping and working night shifts (14:00 - 22:00 - early finish on a Friday 22:30) for a fortnight.
This role is to start ASAP and will pay up to £16 PAYE + HP and a % uplift when working the late shift
