Job Specification:
Cyberteams' Client is looking for a Cloud Security Engineer/SME with solid knowledge of public cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure required to join a banking security team in supporting the acquisition of a new Google Cloud Platform in a Digital environment. GCP experience is a bonus but as long as you have a background in securing AWS, Azure, DevOps, and Digital Architecture then that is just as good. You'll be required to provide assurance activities on existing designs while taking ownership of key component deliverables from a low/mid-level security engineering perspective This role will give you heavy exposure to Google Cloud Platform.
Accountabilities:
Embedding into one or more of the delivery squads and taking ownership of key deliverables and designs
Providing security requirements into all items within the relevant squad backlog and ensuring that low level deliverables align with architectural designs
Providing assurance/governance across the relevant backlog stories
Identifying any risks with an ability to quantify the size of risk and measure them against the Bank's risk appetite and then deriving mitigation strategies
Having the ability to work anywhere between strategic utopia and minimum viable product (MVP) to meet the business needs and deliver business value in a fast and iterative way
A good level of experience in a comparable security role with transferable skills
Designing security solutions using sound engineering principles across a large & complex environment with demanding functional & non-functional requirement
Ability to work across several items at the same time with good prioritisation and workload management skills
Excellent presentation skills, both verbally and written, with a keen understanding of stakeholder management at both junior and senior levels; able to identify key players in delivering the business outcome and to ensure that their needs are fully represented
Broad range of skills with experience in cyber security, web and mobile technologies, public cloud, and full stack applications
A good understanding of digital/retail banking processes is also desirable but is not essential
