Description
(Solution Architect - 3 months initially - remote c600+ inIR35)Solution Architect you will be responsible for solving business problems using technology. Menu management SaaS (Software As A Service) experience essential. You will work with other teams in the digital service to understand business problems, identify viable technical solutions to those problems, support procurements, design the solution and ensure that the solution meets technical and cyber-security standards.
You will be expected to act as the technical lead on projects and programmes engaging with senior stakeholders in the rest of Parliament and with specialist colleagues within the Digital Service.
Experience required:
Experience of successful technical leadership, working as an architect on complex projects and programmes.
Ability to design complex technical solutions in an inclusive and participatory manner, to negotiate with and influence other design parties (business stakeholders, technical architects, software developers, third party suppliers), to reconcile technical and business considerations in order to arrive at the optimal solution.
Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to establish positive working relationships and influence and persuade at all levels. Ability to work successfully within a team, whilst upholding the values of equality, diversity and inclusion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and effectively.
Prior experience of designing and successfully implementing cloud hosted catering and/or retail EPOS stock management systems.
Experience of cybersecurity design principles and industry standards and applying them to solution designs.
