Data Centre Engineer

Duration: 12 months
IR35 Status: Inside
You and the team will organise and install Servers by remote hands, maintain and troubleshoot a wide range of client problems and implement systems and software upgrades and OS, configuration changes for users, based on reference system documentation provided, including Windows, Linux & Solaris. You will be able to focus on delivering results and enjoys working as part of a team. A problem solver that's looking to learn new skills whilst keeping up to date with technology.
You will have experience working within network cabling infrastructure such as installation and testing of CAT6, fibre and co-ax cabling. Understanding or a desire to learn cable management best practices within an IDC rack environment. Switch Configuration experience. Good knowledge of ticketing systems & Change Management systems (such as ServiceNow or Remedy). Ability to problem solve. Experience in dealing with end customer face to face and over the phone. You may have experience working within a Datacentre environment.
Please note once the contractor is inducted and understands the company systems this role with be working a 12.5 hour shift pattern
