A fully REMOTE contract role for University Hospitals Plymouth NHSExperience working within NHS body required
Senior Systems Engineer - ICT Services/Corporate £ per day, 3-6 month contract.
Job Purpose: To provide ICT systems infrastructure engineering services for the Plymouth ICT Shared Service (PICTS).
To be a lead systems engineer in support of the Plymouth Health Community computer server systems, including the following:
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Microsoft Exchange Email services
- Windows Server platforms
- Windows clustering
- Virtual Server platform
- Storage Area Network
- Micrososft SQL database
- VAX Servers including VMS operating system and DSM databases
- Unix operating systems
- Citrix and Windows Terminal Servers
- CommVault and Backup Express backups
- TCP/IP including DNS and DHCP
- HP server hardware.
To assist in the management of the Trusts Computer Rooms including:
- Access/Security
- Environment issues - heat and power usage
- Planned Power shutdowns
- Server Space Allocation
- Tape Storage and data safes
- Tidiness
- Disposal of redundant equipment
