Description
A Project Manager is required for our client based in Barnsley (working from home with the odd visit to the office). This is for an initial 6-month contract (possibility of extending).
Our client is bringing in a new IT system, therefore they are looking for a Project Manager who will be able to support this transition. The postholder will have an understanding of IT and be comfortable communicating to technical stakeholders. However, the postholder does not need to be a technical expert themselves. Projects tend to relate to software and systems rather than network/architecture.
The role could also involve the planning and delivery of end user device refresh programmes and similar.
The Project Manager will also help support the Head of Service on matters relating to IT across the business. Ideally, they would like someone with experience of working with the Northgate Housing System (now called NEC) or someone who has worked in the public sector, ideally in a Local Authority setting.
