AWS Dev Ops/Tech Ops Engineer - Cloudflare, Terraform, web, EC2, S3, Ansible, linux, python - Remote/UK - Outside IR35 - 3 months - £500 a day
Exciting opportunity working for an expanding Global media company where you will be working with the latest technology, my client is going through a large transformation/integration programme and are seeking an AWS Dev ops Engineer to join their team.
Duties include:
- Design, delivery, operation, maintenance and life cycle management of code repositories, pipeline and continuous deployment release chains.
- Push towards infrastructure as code and be involved in the design and implementation.
- Creation of, and maintenance of, Amazon AWS Accounts and VPC's using Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Monitoring & maintenance of website availability, provision of production service support, and investigation into production incidents
- Production support for websites and databases, and operations assistance.
- Ensure that websites and platforms adhere to the corporate standard relating to security and governance
- Ensure that all relevant systems have backup and recovery plans which are fully implemented and regularly tested
Looking for candidates with similar experience with the following:
- Hands-on AWS Dev ops/Tech Ops experience
- Knowledge of the technical capabilities, for all area's within the remit of this role ( AWS, Cloudflare, Terraform)
- Full understanding of challenges that come with running cloud-based, large, scalable, heavily used, applications
- Strong reporting skills
- Hands-On experience on Shell, python Scripting
- Experienced in requirement gathering, environment setup within the cloud (AWS)
- Proficiency working in Unix/Linux environments, particularly with web-facing system
- Knowledge of CDN technologies
- Knowledge of DNS using BIND/Route53/Cloudflare
- Knowledge of SSL
Some of the critical skills required on day one would be advanced knowledge of AWS services and automation tools, and other services including but not limited to -
- EC2
- RDS
- S3
- ALB/NLB
- VPC
- Terraform
