Performance Test Lead/£400pd - £500pd (Inside IR35)/6 months/South West
A fantastic company and house hold name based in the South West are looking for a Performance Test Lead to join their company on an initial 6 month contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide Performance Test Lead consultancy and expertise across the IT portfolios to an agreed activity and delivery plan including:
- Production of a Performance Test Strategy (describing the approach, tooling, architecture and resourcing needs).
- Development of a Performance Test Capability Roadmap and implementation of continual improvements.
- Analysis of performance testing needs and production of a Performance Test Plan of IT Project and Programmes (including Digital Projects and Support & Revenue Platform Programme).
- Planning and allocation of Performance Test resources across IT Projects.
- Assurance of IT projects and their adherence to agreed Performance Test Strategy.
- Configuration, creation and maintenance of Performance Test Automation Platforms, Frameworks and Scripts.
- Execution of Performance Testing including collation of outputs, analysis of results and recommendations.
Essential Skills:
- Create/execute web and web services scripts to simulate the users executing business transactions.
- Demonstrable experience working with AWS environments.
- Proficient in performance and automation test tools (eg: Jmeter/Sillenium/Provar or similar)
- Understanding of network protocols and performance bottlenecks (eg: Citrix, Web HTTP, SOA, XML)
- DevOps experience and understanding of best practice and toolsets
- Practical Load and stress testing execution experience across multiple protocols (eg: HTTP/HTML, HTTPS/HTML, HTTP/HTTPS, Email (SMTP/POP), FTP, TCP/IP, LDAP, XML/SOAP)
- Analysis and interpretation of test results, identifying remediation activity and report using recognised tools (eg: JIRA or similar)
- Use of Jenkins or similar orchestration tools.
- Command line/SQL and monitoring tool experience (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki)
- Practical understand of K8's and Jmeter configuration.
- Demonstrable experience in RDS databases and analysis.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience of performance testing within a Salesforce Cloud environment.
- Experience in managing 3rd party delivery of performance testing.
- Experience of Python 3
- Terraform/AWS
