Role: 2nd Line Field Engineer
Location - Derby Onsite (2 days per week)
Duration: 6-12 months
Rate:- £185 per day (Inside IR35)
Interviews: via MS Teams w/c ASAP
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our East Midlands based client on a 6-12 month contract.
2nd Line Support Engineer
The role:
- Recent 2nd line support experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows desktop technologies (Windows 7/10) and understanding of Windows Server environment a benefit
- Experience using and troubleshooting Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Experience using and troubleshooting Smartphone devices/tablets, including MDM tools
- Excellent understanding of end user hardware set-up and configuration
- Basic networking skills with Cisco Switches/Routers
- Basic virtualisation experience with VMWare virtual machines
- Excellent telephone manner and face to face communication skills
- Very good analytical and problem solving skills, gathering relevant information to identify root cause and developing countermeasures
- Strong team player
- Service focused approach when responding to incidents, problems, changes, projects
- ITIL certification
