Microsoft 365 Network Specialist
A global Powerhouse within the financial services industry is looking for a Microsoft 365 Network Specialist to help drive design and provide engineering support to their Cloud Infrastructure Team on a 10 month contract.
They are seeking a Microsoft 365 Network Specialist to help drive network design and provide engineering support to the BofA Cloud Infrastructure Team. The ideal candidate has expert level knowledge and experience in designing and implementing complex secure network solutions to enable on-premise infrastructure integration and user experiences (laptop, desktop, virtual, mobile) for Microsoft 365.. The position will work closely with Product Owners, Applications Owners, Platform Engineering and Security teams to deliver the best solution for large modern workplace solutions. Candidates should possess expert knowledge in public and hybrid cloud models. The specialist needs to have the ability to provide insight into required network services and inter-dependencies to map out the best strategy to design and deploy network services to support Microsoft 365 use cases (Corporate endpoint - Office, Corporate endpoint - remote, Corporate mobile - remote, Corporate server - Azure, Corporate server - M365).
Responsibilities:
- Support the team in the design and implementation of a highly available, scalable, and secure modern network solution using industry best practices to support Microsoft 365 technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online Hybrid, Microsoft Intune (MDM/MAM), SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Microsoft Information Protection, and PowerApps.
- Work closely with engineers, security advisors, application architects, and system owners to develop and deliver network solutions for Microsoft 365.
- Create detailed technical network documentation as required.
- Experience proactively finding problems and providing innovative solutions to resolve these problems.
- Conduct root-cause analysis, isolate the source of problems and mitigate technical challenges.
- Deploy and execute processes and standards to ensure an optimal reliable network performance is always available.
- Implement monitoring to track consumption of network resources and performance.
Skills/Experience Required
- 7 years. + experience as Network Solutions Specialist
- 2 years. + of cloud network integration experience
- Experience in deploying complex network infrastructures to service Microsoft Azure and/or Office 365 use cases.
- Extensive experience in troubleshooting and debugging network systems and scripts; ability to triage technical issues for timely responses.
- Experience with implementing and integrating various cloud network systems.
- Possesses a strong ability to resolve complex project challenges by using out-of-the-box thinking, proposing ideas, and working to bring them to fruition.
- Strong aptitude for learning new cloud network technologies and methodologies.
- An insatiable curiosity to learn more about cloud network systems.
- Experience implementing network services for large enterprises for Microsoft Azure and Office 365 services.
- Demonstrated excellence at presenting complex technical topics to both executive, technical and business personnel.
- Exceptional communication and personal skills, both written, verbal and while presenting to groups, including security leadership.
- Strong analytical skills are required.
- Self-managed and motivated individual.
- Proven ability to innovate with a history of new or improved technology solutions with remarkable impact on company productivity.
- Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
