We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who require a Senior RAN SME for one of their Private sector Clients based in Ipswich

IR35 - This role is inside of IR35

Job Description:

Work with customers to integrate and commission OpenRAN elements RU, DU, and CU, involving Transport Network, RAN and Core platforms in the customer pilot and commercial deployments

Detailed analysis of element logs and subscriber traces to pinpoint and resolve integration issues including Networking troubleshooting layer 2 and layer 3 issues using sniffers (Wireshark, tcpdump, etc.)

React to customer requests in a timely & professional manner and own & resolve, with the assistance of other team members, all assigned issues in a timely & professional manner

Define and author the System Architecture specifications that meet the customer requirements from an end-to-end perspective

Creation of integration procedures, as built documents, software upgrade and rollback procedures for each element or service delivered to customer

Skills & Experience Required

Good articulation skills

Extensive recent experience in LTE/5G system integration, testing and troubleshooting (system logs, OS logs, UE logs, network logs, etc.)

RAN Integration knowledge and experience and proven track history

Strong end-to-end RAN knowledge (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G)

RAN Technologies (vRAN, Small Cells, MIMO, Timing and Sync with GPS, PTP)

Understanding of Networking Protocols like IP, TCP, SCTP, IPSEC

Understanding of 3GPP standards, including procedures, call flows, KPI, statistics

Provide knowledge transfer and knowledge sharing to internal teams and colleagues

Ability to work flexibility, taking ownership for the engineering function and demonstrate ability to take on additional tasks to achieve project deadlines
