Global IT Solutions Company requires a suitable Storage Operations Support Engineer for their established client based in London.
You will be providing 3rd Line Storage Operational Support managing a ticket based work load
Storage Operations Support Engineer
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: London
Day Rate: £400.00 Inside IR35
Key Skills and Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in an Operational role
- Experience providing support using documented operating procedures and processes
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to effectively and efficiently prioritise and execute tasks within a high pressured environment
- Thorough understanding of storage infrastructure technologies
- Working knowledge of the following
- Pure storage - an thorough understanding of the Storage Provisioning process, ActiveCluster, Protection Groups, Host Groups
- Filer Storage (ISILON)
- Filer Storage (Windows VM Filers with Windows Failover Clustering)
- Storage Area Network (SAN) - All aspects of Zoning in a Cisco MDS SAN and appreciation of the risks when making changes in this space
- Asynchronous/Synchronous replication
- Automation tools (including Ansible/AWX)
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
- Filer Storage (NetApp)
- Industry Certification in relevant storage field
- Experience of working in the financial sector
- Knowledge, experience or a qualification in the ITIL Framework
- Knowledge, experience or a qualification in the SaFE Framework
- Experience of Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Experience of ServiceNow
- Rubrik (hands on not required)
