My client, a global OEM in the energy sector, has delivered heat recovery steam generators, industrial boilers and solar receivers for concentrated solar power plant for decades
In order to support the acceleration of its developments in renewable energy solutions, they have grouped these activities under a specific entity specialising in renewables. This area of the business has four activities: solar & thermal storage, hydrogen, Integrated Renewables Solutions and EPC.
In this regard, as a Process Engineer, you will then be in charge of:
- Production of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
Role: check the adequacy of the diagrams drawn up by the team of designers (contractual specifications, dimensioning of the piping, process rules)
- The drafting of functional documents (defining the operating logics)
- Writing maintenance and commissioning manuals
- Writing the documentation for the start-up
- Participation in the training of plant operators as a supplier and therefore a boiler specialist
- Head office support for the on-site commissioning engineer. The process engineer therefore keeps in touch with the commissioning engineer and provides support from the office for the various problems/questions that the commissioning engineer encounters on site.
Profile
- You have a civil or industrial engineering background
- You preferably have an experience in the tasks described above, if possible in the energy and/or hydrogen market
- Knowledge of electrolysers is a considerable asset! Knowledge of automation is also an asset.
- You are able to analyse technical data relating to complex installations, you are able to detect potential problems and to seek solutions preventively
- You are able to work in a team and agree to support your colleagues in their daily tasks (management/work support for technicians). You have very good communication skills
- You are able to work within the framework of a Matrix organization, to assume the responsibilities of several projects in parallel.
- You are a lover of technology, you understand the operation machinery and their installation
- You are comfortable with international relations but you are not looking for a commercial position!
- You are able to share your knowledge
- You are precise and organised
- You are fluent in French and English, and possibly other foreign languages
- The function will be based in Seraing (Belgium) but you are available for temporary assignments of variable duration, anywhere abroad
