Technical Business Analyst/Technical Author - MadCap Flare

Location: Fully Remote - Reigate office

Duration: 6 months

Rate: £650/day inside IR35

A Multinational Insurance Company is looking for a technical business analyst/technical author to join their growing business unit developing a wide range of market-leading InsurTech solutions. You will join them at an exciting time as they focus increasingly on cloud/SaaS solutions, upgrading existing products to new technologies and modern UX, as well as developing brand-new applications.

You will work across business areas (product development, product management, business and technology implementation) to help gather and document key processes and technical information.

When successful, you will:

  • Work with the Product Owner and Business SMEs to elicit and capture business processes and operating models surrounding the product,
  • Liaise with Solution Architects and the Development team to document IT architecture and operating context
  • Support the generation of programme and project implementation materials for the Technical Consulting team and Client use
  • Support the production of Client ready documentation along with a Technical Author

To do so, you are required to demonstrate:

  • Ability to document business and operating processes using diagrams and text
  • Strong MadCap Flare experience is essential.
  • Experience in producing client ready documentation eg user guides, technical manuals etc
  • Experience documenting database, schemas and data models
  • Knowledge of hardware systems, system software, networks, and application software development,
  • Experience with documenting APIs and ETL processes
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and Visio
  • Experience in the Insurance Industry (commercial insurance knowledge preferably)

Other highly desirable, but not essential skills are:

  • Familiarity with the C4 model,
  • Experience with SQL and SSIS
  • Experience with cloud platforms (ideally Azure)
