Key Responsibilities
- The general maintenance, patching and tuning of Oracle Databases and associated application
- environments
- The maintenance of the Linux Operating System.
- Collaborate with scientists throughout the company to develop cutting edge software tools
- Systems administration work to support the running of a mix of NoSQL and relational DBMS such as
- MongoDB, MySQL or Postgres.
- Installation/integration/updates of Linux scientific software packages
Experience required
The successful candidate will have:
- Oracle Database installation & patching
- Linux Administration (CentOS 7)
- Database security
- Shell Scripting
- Tomcat / JVMs
- Experience in writing scripts (Python Perl, C/C++, R or Matlab)
- Technologies (Docker, K8s, GitLab)
