Engineering Manager.

What will you do?
- Help to define the engineering strategy for the platform enabling the creation of consumable products.
- Work in collaboration with the Head of Engineering, Engineering Managers and the Engineering teams to ensure consistent execution of the technical engineering strategy.
- Help the product owners to define and evolve the Service Catalog, ie, the products we offer to our customers aiming for fully consumable products with automated life cycle (provisioning, operation, management, governance, demise).
- Lead the Engineering Practice in the platform who are going to work on the "how" to do engineering, ie best practices, tooling, training, while influencing and guiding the "what" is being delivered in the platform in terms of engineered solutions.
- Maintain strong links and drive collaboration with other platforms
- Maintain strong links and drive collaboration with the Digital platform Service Manager
- Work closely with the engineering teams to identify all WOW are being adhered to
- Maintain a full picture of the structures of engineering teams and their backlog items/performance and blockers against picking up or completing work
- Provide metrics across teams to help identify improvement areas
- Work with fellow Engineering Managers to ensure the same practice is being carried out throughout the digital platform
- Work closely in all PI ceremonies
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with the software products offered by Hybrid Integration Platform: (at least 5) Kubernetes (any flavour), Containers, API Gateways such as Kong, Mulesoft, Apigee, Messaging and Integration technologies such as Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ, Web technologies such as Liberty, Tomcat, File Transmission solutions
- Understand of public cloud offerings with preferable experience in building applications on it.
- Experience with software development, infrastructure automation, API development and basic application system's design.
- Experience with providing enterprise strength solutions to manage/operate a globally disperse infrastructure.
- Experience working across cultures and coordinating a globally dispersed team.
- Effective communication, problem solving skills, strategic and pragmatic approach to develop solutions.
- Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps Capabilities (CI/CD Pipelines, Automated Testing, Code Scanning etc.)
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.
- Excellent People Leadership, Articulation, Strategic Planning and Influencing Skills.
