Description
My client in Belgium urgently seek a Linux Systems Engineer on a freelance basis.
You will work on the development and test environment of the client's team where you will execute the following tasks:
- Implementation & maintenance of the access management concept (LDAP; SSH key management)
- Implementation & maintenance of the monitoring (Nagios)
- Implementation & maintenance of the assets
- Implementation & maintenance of the patch management strategy (Puppet)
- Assist in the adherence of the client's security procedures & policies.
- Work on operation issues
Must-have knowledge:
- Very good knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS - Redhat) including Scripting (bash)
- Must speak/understand Dutch and French
- Experience with working in a production environment
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript and python
- Basic knowledge of network administration: Router - switch - VPN - Firewall
Knowledge of the following domains is an asset:
- Puppet (open-source version)
- Nagios (open-source version)
- Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence/Bitbucket)
- VM ware (ESXi - VCenter)
- GIT
- Jenkins
