Desktop Support Engineer

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services requires Desktop Support Engineer, to be based in their client's office in Dublin, Ireland.

This is a temporary contract to start ASAP.

Day rate - Competitive Market Rate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot laptop/desktop related issues
  • Install OS and applications on end user devices
  • Work on incidents/Tasks
  • Windows 10 technical support
  • Manage incidents through Service Now
  • Supporting users in the office and remotely using various remote tools.
  • Hardware break fix for DELL Laptops
  • Supporting MS Office/O365 defect handling
  • Identify and resolve technical problems predominantly for Windows 10 Dell Laptops.
  • Troubleshooting issues with devices connecting to the Wifi and peripheral devices (such as printers, scanners, mobile/smart phones).

Experience and Skills

  • 8-12 years in Desktop Support
  • Good knowledge of Windows 10 OS
  • Experience of using SCCM, Using Jump Servers, 0365, Intune and GoToAssist.
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Basic knowledge of AD, computer networks & computer hardware
  • Good communication & problem-solving skills
  • Flexible working hours as per business requirements
  • Experience of working on a site on your own.
  • Client facing skills.

Candidate Specification

  • Ability to think for yourself and provides fixes to new problems identified.
  • Ability to work on your own.
  • To be able to communicate effectively to business stakeholders
