Description
Our client, a multinational information technology service and consulting company, are currently seeking an experienced Linux SME to work on a OUTSIDE IR35 contract basis. Initially the contract will be 6 months in duration and will allow for remote working but will need the successful candidate to travel to customer sites in Hampshire and Wiltshire approx. once a week - although the demand may change slightly based on project requirements.
Due to the nature of our clients work, the role will require the successful applicant to hold security clearance to SC level or be will and able to undergo the Vetting process to achieve this
As a Linux SME, you should have practical experience of:
- RHEL 7 - Installation/configuration
- LDAP/SSSD - AD integration
- Install/configure software which isn't specifically Linux OS related, Jmeter/Neoload/etc
- Install software with no experience/instructions/manuals/etc
- Scripting/Automation
- Support Linux OS in AWS environment(s)
- CIS/Security hardening of non-Atos standard RHEL OS
- Able to support Zabbix monitoring tool
- Working with third parties to support the likes of SAP/Nifi/MoD/etc..
- Deploy/Fix services at short notice
- Work with a non-standard patching framework, required to ensure consistency between Cloud and physically deployed services.
- Ability to install and administer software with no instructions or manuals
- Ideally experience of working in the Defence sector
