Infrastructure Consultant - SC cleared - 3months+ - Inside IR35
*SC Clearance is a necessity
Jefferson Frank are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Project Consultant to work with one of our clients who are a UK based consultancy working on a 3 month contract inside IR35.
For this role we would like to find out about your recent projects, demonstrating your skill and proven application of the below technologies.
- Project Consultant role is to transition solutions into the client and 3rd party Data Centres, to meet planned budgets and timescales.
- To ensure that all necessary support documentation is amended to reflect any implementation made and ensure handover and knowledge transfer to onshore and offshore support teams.
- Must be able to work on own initiative.
- May need to work remotely, home based or customers sites.
Key Skills
- Perform OS Install/Patching/Firmware updates in line with best practices.
- Maintain security and documentation standards (ISO90001 AND ISO27001).
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Identify and assess technical issues and risks.
Essential
- Strong understanding of ITIL and Change Management Methodology
- Advanced Cisco IOS skills & experience
- Strong familiarity with a wide range of Firewall vendors (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, McAfee)
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, IP address allocation & management
- WAN installation/migration experience
Desired
- Understanding of security and secure environments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise storage, backup and network configurations
- Experience of Cisco Nexus and Cisco series Switches.
- Experience of Multi Context Firewall environments such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet VDOMs, Checkpoint VSX.
- Ability to implement High Availability Multi-Vendor Enterprise Telecoms Solutions (Including but not limited to Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Macfee)
