Description
Jefferson Frank are looking for a Project Consultant who is SC Cleared (Must have) to work with our UK based client. It will be a 3month contract, Inside IR35. As a project consultant you will be responsible to transition solutions for our client and 3rd party data centres, to meet planned budgets and timescales. May need to work remotely, home based or on sites.
Role Responsbility
Provision/decommission of hardware into the Datacentre complying to DCM processes.
Cabling of Servers following documented Low-Level Designs and best practices.
Install/Patching/Firmware upgrades following documented Low-Level Designs and best practices.
Provide documentation and information for Acceptance into Service to the BAU teams
Provide cost estimates on changes.
Liase with 3rd parties to develop minor Low-Level Designs in line with High Level Designs.
Identify Performance Issues.
Design & Test Disaster Recovery Plans
Key Skills
Perform OS Install/Patching/Firmware updates in line with best practices.
Maintain client security and documentation standards (ISO90001 AND ISO27001).
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Identify and assess technical issues and risks.
Essential
Strong understanding of ITIL and Change Management Methodology
Advanced Cisco IOS skills & experience
Strong familiarity with a wide range of Firewall vendors (Cisco ASA, Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto, McAfee)
Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, IP address allocation & management
WAN installation/migration experience
Desired
At least 4 years' experience in chosen speciality.
Understanding of security and secure environments.
Strong understanding of enterprise storage, backup and network configurations
Experience of Cisco Nexus and Cisco series Switches.
Experience of Multi Context Firewall environments such as Cisco ASA, Fortinet VDOMs, Checkpoint VSX.
Ability to implement High Availability Multi-Vendor Enterprise Telecoms Solutions (Including but not limited to Cisco, Checkpoint, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Macfee)
