IT Infrastructure Engineer
My client is currently looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to join them on a contract basis.
Please note this role is Inside IR35
The main purpose of the job:
This is a technical role, focusing on supporting the delivery of some key Security related projects. You will be required to work with the infrastructure team and team leaders to help expediate the delivery of some key projects to improve the security posture of my client's estate.
Please note there may be some Callout/Shift hours as and when needed for this role.
Main tasks and duties of the job:
- Deliver Security Projects
- Work with the Infrastructure team to deliver key Infrastructure projects with a focus on security. Including projects related to:
- Azure Log and the configuration of the server estate to transfer key logs to Azure.
- Configuration of Azure Sentinel to interrogate logs and provide insights.
- Building and configuration of Windows 2019 Servers, using automation tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
- 365 Conditional Access policy configuration and administration.
- Manage the upgrade of VMWare hypervisor from ESX 6.5 to 7.0.
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and knowledge:
- MCSE
- Linux RedHat Administration
- VMWare VCP
- Microsoft Azure and 365
- At least 8 years' experience in Windows and Linux system administration
- Ability to analyse problems, determine appropriate solutions
- Extensive Co-location Platform support experience.
- Extensive Microsoft 365 experience
- Extensive Microsoft Azure experience
