Experience in release promotion, release packaging and release deployment.
Experienced in automation and configuration management
Minimum 2-year experience of using Puppet and Python/Shell.
Linux, knowledge of RHEL 6.x/7.x/8.x administration, handling Linux services and filesystem management.
Knowledge of Puppet configuration management tool.
Creating or editing modules, maintaining Hiera datasets.
Knowledge of version control principles for software release management.
Knowledge of branching, merging and creating release branches/tags.
Bash Scripting knowledge.
Role Purpose (overall high level summary of the role)
Develop new functionalities to meet existing demand;
Apply fixes, plan and execute the upgrade of the Puppet.
Development of new modules and roles to meet requirements business demand.
Develop data pipelines/APIs using Python/Shell, SQL
Writing effective and scalable Python codes OR Shell Script
Debugging applications to ensure low-latency and high-availability.
Document all activities, topology, configuration and procedures.

Regular qualification and testing of hardware/software/microcode for security and big fix, new features and functionality
Code to be certified and released within timeframe of given CSVS
Customers/Stakeholders
Investigation and implementation of new technologies to deliver solutions with optimal TCO for the organisation whilst meeting core business requirements
Architecture and engineering design activity to support business and domain requirements
Production of high-quality supporting documentation for all engineered solutions for operational consumption
All new engineering releases to be fully agreed by all stakeholders at scope, requirements Agile way methodology .
Leadership & Teamwork
Engineering support for Storage Operations teams for normal operation, migration and infrastructure transformation project
PoV and PoC engineering activity for new hardware/software/configuration
Working collaboratively with peers across domains/disciplines and with vendors/partners to deliver high quality solutions
Working with an Agile mentality, rapid delivery iterated with features and components through the solution development life cycle
Attend daily standups, team meetings and 1-2-1s.
Demonstrate domain leadership as Guardium SME.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
Key focus on development of automation and orchestration tooling to reduce manual interaction at every opportunity
Demonstrate a reduction in manual operational processes and increased operational efficiency.
