Description
Tank have been exclusively instructed by our client to recruit for an AWS Security Architect. The role has been deemed outside IR35. The contract is for an initial 6 month sign on, however, the potential for extensions are very likely. You must hold an active SC Clearance for this role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide expert SME support to customer security as a whole in regards to security related matters.
- Embedded into different project work streams, liaising with teams and delivery managers and acting as a conduit and gateway to customer security department.
- Validating and signing off on security decisions.
- Review all Jira tickets/steps for security impacts and provide guidance and approval as required.
- Writing and reviewing Security Impact Assessments on different technologies and services.
- Providing Security advice and guidance to project teams.
- Attending Agile ceremonies as required.
- Attending Security working groups and Technical Design Authority meetings.
- Providing expert advice and guidance to assist in the accreditation of systems to Home Office.
- Assist in incident management and review.
- Provide SME opinions on identified CVEs affecting the organisation.
- Scoping ITHC's.
- Provide guidance on possible remediation of issues.
- Provide SME advice in relation to Cyber Essentials/ISO and other Standards.
- Provide Security Architecture.
Subject areas/skills:
- Security General (Strong all round principles and current and update knowledge and understanding).
- AWS Security (in depth understanding, cloud watch, security hub etc).
- ITHCs (Check standards, understanding and break down).
- CI/CD - github, code and build chains.
- Containers/K8s technologies.
- Splunk - exposure and experience.
- In depth CIS benchmarks and NIST and HMG GPG.
- IdAM and SAML and JWT understanding.
- ITIL based processes.
- CISSP & NCSC CCP Certifications
