My client urgently seeks a Solution Engineer experienced in Mainframe solutions.
The successful candidate will speak Dutch & English.
The candidate will work on a hybrid model - 50% on-site in Ghent, 50% remote.
Remit
The Mainframe Solution Engineer will interface with customers and identify their needs.
- In their work, they're responsible for delivering the solution that supports the business requirements, using various technologies (COTS or other), products and platforms.
- They will interact with various team-members to provide the right solutions and expertise.
- They balance various aspects of the delivery, from end to end.
- Lead in delivering the identified solution
- Provide detailed functional and non-functional requirements and specifications for proposed solutions including time and scope involved.
- Work closely with Product teams to ensure products and solutions are available and working properly.
- Ensure that the solution developed complies with given architecture guidelines, specifications and business partner quality requirements and ensuring the usage of standards, tools and platforms
- Identify and propose solutions and features to fit product
- Solve assigned issues together with the business
- Analyze current technologies used and perform techwatch, build prototypes and PoCs.
- Document and monitor requirements needed to institute proposed updates requirements such as legal, customer experience or other.
- Act in role as software engineer and focus on hands-on working together with business and IT development team.
- This to coordinate new software changes and to implement new integrations. Inclusive performing analyze and test activities.
- Focus on details and documentation to fulfil business SLA requirements and in execution of quality & GDPR audits
Must-haves:
- Participation: Performing analyses, testing, quality audits an detailed documentation
- Coordination: Coordination of new software implementations, understand business needs, motivate members development team, guide through SDLC
Nice to haves:
- SAP SuccessFactors/SAP Business Objects reporting/Jira
- HR or administrative background
- Mainframe/Database knowledge (eg IBM DB2)
