Description

We have an excellent opportunity for a Contract Site Reliability Engineer/Operations Engineer. Our client is a Gartner Magic Quadrant organisation who are looking for an experienced contractor to come in and assist in the ongoing development of their SaaS infrastructure and to build scalable and resilient Back End systems. The environment is Linux Cloud based and the successful candidate will be responsible for investigating and troubleshooting problems that range across application, host and network infrastructure.

We're looking to speak to contractors with experience managing large scale distributed systems and task automation in a highly available and highly secure environment who have the ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team, working on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.

The key technical skills are as follows

Strong Linux server administration

Containerisation technologies Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

Proficiency in a Scripting language Python, Perl, Bash

Experience working with server virtualization, IaaS and PaaS Platforms

Experience administering application Servers, web Servers, and databases, Jetty, Nginx, MySQL, Postgres.

Version control (Git, SVN) & Configuration Management (Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc.)

Monitoring/alerting (Nagios, Sensu, Zenoss, Graphite, Grafana etc.)

Networking protocols/technologies - HTTP(s)/TCP/DNS/Load Balancing

Experience in aggregated log solutions (Logstash, Splunk, LogEntries etc.)

Contractors must be eligible to work in Ireland and ideally available to start by Monday the 4th of July at the latest. Please note this is a contract role you must have an EU/UK passport or hold current permission to work in Ireland without sponsorship.
