Description
My client who are a leading UK broadcaster are looking for a Core Engineer to join there established team to help to manage infrastructure, leveraging Kubernetes as a basis for a PaaS offering, driving the automated CI/CD strategy across the organisation, and building tooling and operators to deliver key capabilities for engineering teams across their organisation.
Duration: 6 months
Payrate: £650
Working Arrangement: Hybrid
Office Location: London
In this role you will do the following:
- Responsible for the strategic large scale, multi-tenanted Kubernetes platform central to key propositions running on a global scale, including NowTV, Peacock, and Sky.
- Test driven, software defined approach to Platform as a Service
- Diverse set of opportunities within internal teams, depending on personal interests. Ranging from low level network and cloud infrastructure to software projects
- Involved in the full life cycle of evolving ideas into running solutions
What you need for this role:
- A solid understanding of computer science fundamentals with a strong background in either software engineering, site reliability engineering, or security.
- A methodical approach to design, problem solving, troubleshooting, and implementation
- Experience with containerisation technologies, preferably docker and Kubernetes
