Network Planner - Customer Connections
We are looking for a number of Network Planners to work for a large Electricity client. We are looking for people with DNO experience having working on HV/MV/LV customer connections. The initial contracts on offer are for 12 months with extensions likely to follow.
Network Planners are responsible for the design of the electricity Distribution Network to ensure it meets customer needs, and can enable Ireland's transition to a low carbon energy future. This includes design of customer connections for large demand customers and electricity generators, as well as the overall design and reinforcement of the Distribution Network to support current and future needs at all scales of use.
The role involves the analysis of HV, 38kV, and MV Distribution Networks to determine the optimum method of connection for new customers, optimal line diversion solutions, and optimal system improvements. As well as ensuring technical suitability of the plan, projects must be designed within the applicable commercial and regulatory requirements and frameworks. This requires the Planner to take ownership of driving the Plan.
Planners work closely with other functions in the design and delivery of Network plans. They must also liaise with customers, the transmission system operator, and other stakeholders to ensure development is well founded, and meets requirements.
