Freelance Network Engineer

Contract length: 12 Month Contract + extensions

Day rate: Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Belgium, Roeselare, 2 Days On site

Start date: ASAP

Must Speak both English and Dutch

A Belgium IT Consultancy is looking for Network Engineer to work with publishing and media end client of theirs They are looking for a Freelance Network Engineer to take on the daily management of the network.

Description knowledge domain and activities:

Firewalls: high stick at checkpoint
  • Modifying and creating rules, objects, vlan interfaces, zones, Ipsec tunnels, config general
  • Modifying and creating rules, objects, vlans, IPS, config general

DNS and dhcp:
  • Control DNS and DHCP
  • Manage public domains and DNS records and manage certificates

Lan Switching and Wifi

HP and Nortel/Avaya switching management and configuration via cli and HP IMC

Cabling and patching network nodes

Config and manage Aruba wi-fi APs with aruba central and (airwave)


Management and configuration of Ironport cloud and on premise C100V

VPN: Fortigate en Ivanti connect secure

Management and configuration: Forticlient and Fortigate, Ivanti pulse secure

  • Configuration PRTG

Troubleshooting / interpretation logging of all devices

Interview Process
  • 2 Stages
  • 1st With Hiring manager
  • 2nd With End Client
