This is where you come in

We have an exciting opportunity for a Packaging Engineer to join the Team at our Head Office in Warrington to provide support and delivery of Application Packaging and ensure all requests are dealt with in compliance with agreed SLA. The role will be hybrid working of 2 days on-site & 3 days working remotely and is a contract role for 6 months initially.

What will you do?

  • To provide support and delivery of Application Packaging.
  • Ensure all requests are dealt with efficiently and in compliance with agreed SLA.
  • Develop, define and refine Standards and Processes to deliver for all packaging whether small or complex whilst ensuring consistency of Packages across all Desktop devices and Citrix.
  • Ensure compliance with Application Lifecycle policy to ensure United Utilities deploys software in the most license efficient way.
  • Ensure projects and customer update requests are handled in the most efficient manner.

What do you need?

To succeed in this role, you will have the following:

  • Proficient in Packaging technology (Admin Studio, AppV, MSI, MSIX)
  • Experience of System Centre and Intune (MECM)
  • Experience in Windows Operating Systems (Windows 8.1, 10, Server 2008, 2012, 2016, 2019)
  • Experience in Ivanti Workspace Manager (Profile Management)
  • Knowledge of Citrix Xenapp technologies
  • Experience in Active Directory Group Policy Management
  • Experience of programming in Scripting languages (PowerShell, BATCH Files, Kix)
  • Knowledge of HP, Panasonic and Getac Hardware
  • Demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to the work in hand.
  • Demonstrate a methodical and analytical approach in the diagnosis and resolution of issues.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation to quality standard.
  • Capable of taking the lead on build and support.
  • Significant experience of operating ITIL processes and standards
