Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Hybrid (Must be on site at Boeing Avenue, Netherlands 3 days per week)
Salary/Rate: €600 per day
Start Date: 09/01/23
Job Type: 3 month rolling contract

In addition to being a prominent investor in cutting-edge infrastructure, content, and technology initiatives, my client is a global leader in convergent Internet, video, and mobile communications. They are looking for a Network Engineer to join their team for a 3 month rolling contract

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

They are looking for a network engineer who'll be responsible for setting up and maintaining networks within an organisation or between organisations.

  • Review and implement low-level design and detailed design and configuration templates
  • Perform end-to-end configuration checks of engineered solutions before deployment in live networks
  • Implement/deploy network solutions/services and execute of network changes according to the network engineering plans during nightly change windows for projects driven from all internal central business units lus Opco specific connectivity requirements.
  • Perform network system upgrades including HW/SW upgrade, patches, hot fixes and security configurations

    • Required Skills/Experience
    The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • In-depth knowledge of Networking protocols such as ISIS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, QoS, etc
  • Experience in IPv4/v6 migration techniques, routing policy languages
  • Expert in Cisco, Juniper and/or Nokia routing and switching technologies
  • Experience in reverse engineering and troubleshooting
  • Experience in creating documentation, guidelines, Low Level Designs, Visio Diagrams, etc.

    • Desirable Skills/Experience
    Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client:

  • Network security standards, rules and regulations
  • Software Defined Networking (SDN)
  • Network Scripting/automation (Python)
  • Unix Systems
  • Ability to perform complex design analysis with a proven track record in problem solving
