VMWARE ENGINEER - VMWARE SPECIALIST - VIRTUALIZATION CONSULTANT - MIDLANDS
£600-£725/day inside IR35, hybrid working (2 days on site)
Clarity Resourcing is seeking an experienced VMWare Consultant for their Client based in The Midlands. You'll have 4-5 years of directly-relevant experience gained in Financial Services, Banking, Consulting or Corporate Technology, data warehouse, data centre, etc.
The role will be working on both Project-work and BAU issue resolution, both need a high level of knowledge and skill to resolve challenging customer issues. You will be needed to 'hit the ground running'. You'll have extensive experience of design, delivery & configuration of solutions.
ROLE:
- Provide administration and support services for existing VMware services for in house and hosted environments
- Recommend, plan and design changes to the VMware virtualisation infrastructure to address the requirements of the business
- Provide performance and availability of on-premise VMware Servers through monitoring and pro-active maintenance & housekeeping
- Provide VMware and other technology monitoring, including information reports, analysing performance and capacity profiles
- Performing investigations, taking ownership of operational problems or development
- Developing and preparing solutions
- Prioritise & resolve production support requests
- Oversight of security and integrity of the production and development environments
- Input to technology support roadmaps, and best practice policies
KEY SKILLS
- VMware, working in a large scale, virtualised environment.
- MS Active Directory at enterprise scale
- MS Exchange and Exchange online
- MS Windows Servers and MS Exchange Servers
- Good networking knowledge
- PowerShell Scripting
You'll need to be a self-starter, self-reliant and a determined problem-solver and you'll need first-class written & verbal communications skills. The environment is professional and challenging.
