Messaging Engineer - Hybrid Working - Outside IR35
Our client are currently looking to hire a Messaging Engineer with a strong knowledge or Mimecast to join the team on an Outside IR35 contract basis. This role would be hybrid working, with the client site being based in London.
Role Summary:
- This role forms part of a distributed, global infrastructure team that is responsible for the continued availability and support of a hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Specifically, working within IT strategy and transformation providing engineering during integrations for Messaging platforms, and post go-live support by drawing upon their wealth of practical and technical experience.
- The role will be expected to work within a busy environment, supporting business throughout the world.
Technical Skills:
- Worked previously within a similar role migrating email services from acquired businesses
- Extensive experience working with Mimecast, Office365 and Microsoft Exchange
- Expert knowledge Mimecast - Complex mail routing scenarios, deep knowledge of message encryption, DNS security, email spam/filtering rules
- Expert knowledge of Office365 (Email & Teams)
- Expert knowledge of Exchange on premises and online, including hybrid deployments
- Good knowledge of Microsoft server technologies (Windows 2019, 2016 & 2012), Azure AD and Azure AD Connect
- Demonstrate architecting messaging platforms
- Good knowledge of IT security practices
Requirements:
- Demonstrate examples of similar successful positions in the past
- Demonstrate a very high level of customer service
- Worked in the insurance or financial services sector previously
