Description
Our client is a well-established Global organisation urgently seeking a Modern Workplace Engineer to join their team on an interim basis - remote working.
As the Modern Workplace Engineer, you will assist with the two ongoing, fast-paced IT separation projects. Your role as the Modern Workplace Engineer is expected to be a mix of Project & BAU work with project work taking priority.
Essential skills and experience required for the Modern Workplace Engineer role:
SCCM
- Strong understanding/experience of SCCM 2016 essential
- Able to create reports to provide detailed discovery of hardware and software inventory across the estate
- Good understanding of Windows OS build via task sequence (Windows 10/End user experience essential)
- Able to package applications and deploy via SCCM
AD Requirements
- Good understanding of Active Directory management and best practises essential
- Able to create targeted GPO policies to configure end user compute environment (ie enact changes to end user policies) - Essential
- Able to write PowerShell queries to provide discovery data across Active Directory estate and execute changes
Hybrid Exchange Requirements
- Good understanding of on-premise Exchange 2013
- Good understanding of O365 Exchange
File/Print services
- Good understanding of DFS
- Good understanding of NTFS vs File Share Permissions
- Understanding of file migration processes/best practises
- Good understanding of print services, and printer migration processes/best practises
This is an exciting contract for a hands-on Modern Workplace Engineer to work on some complex and challenging projects.
